It has been a good year for the blog. Not only did the blog win the 2014 Bloggers Association of Kenya Award for best travel blog but I also got to participate in Unexpected Kenya – this involved traversing the country and capturing images for the Safaricom’s (the leading mobile network operator in Kenya) 2015 calendar.
The calendar was launched earlier this month and two images by Jeri (the photographer in my team) have been published in the calendar. Not too shabby for the only all girls team.
Given that we were shooting for 10 days there were a whole lot of pictures that didn’t make the cut. Here are some of the pictures from the North Rift of Kenya that plus more behind the scenes photos.
Turkana boy on the shores of Lake Turkana
Athlete training in Nandi Hills
Yoga at sunrise (David Rudisha’s yoga instructor)
Rain Chaser in Nandi Hills
Graffiti artist Rich Boy and his son in the North Rift town of Eldoret
Searching for gold using metal detectors in Turkana
Seeing as this is the last post of the year, I would like to say thank you to every single one of you for your support and wish you all a merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.
